Incoming Pastor, January 2025
After extensive prayer and consideration, The Lead Pastor Search Team and the membership have affirmed Dr. Alan Branch to be the next Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church At The Villages.
We are confident he is God’s choice to lead our church forward.
Pastoral Transition Process
- Pastor Alan’s first day as Lead Pastor will be Sunday, January 12, 2025.
- Overlap Period: Pastor Bob Perry will remain on staff to help Pastor Alan get acclimated to and engaged in the ministry of the church. During that period Pastors Alan and Bob will share the preaching responsibilities and will attend all pastoral leadership meetings and church events together.
- Pastor Bob’s last day will be Sunday, March 30, 2025. Pastor Bob will remain a part of the church family, but will spend several months away as Pastor Alan gets situated.
