Pastoral Search Process Updates
September 16, 2024
Interviewing in person for the lead pastor position will be the next process for the Lead Pastor Search Team (LPST). The Team's goal of discovering God's choice for our church is founded upon the congregation's survey and prayers. The LPST requests praying Hebrews 13:18 as they move closer to making their decision. "Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things." NASB

As the Lead Pastor Search Team moves forward with its search for who God has chosen for the church's lead pastor, please align your prayers for this endeavor with Romans 8:26-27. "In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God." (NASB)

The Lead Pastor Search Team (LPST) will meet with our Vanderbloemen Consultant Brian Dunks on July 9 to recap the church's profile for a lead pastor. Please pray in conjunction with the LPST Philippians 4:6-8. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."
