Lead Pastor Search Team Process
The Church’s Policies specify a process for the selection of a Lead Pastor.

The Church’s Executive Committee will employ this process in the following steps:

Establishment:
- The Pastoral Staff (Overseers/Elders/Shepherds) *serves under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
- Pastors must reflect the spiritual character of an Overseer/Elder/Shepherd. (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)
- The Lead Pastor
- The Lead Pastor will be selected by the Congregation upon recommendation of a church authorized Search Team. The Search Team will be comprised of lay representatives from the Executive Committee and lay members recommended by the Executive Committee from the Congregation at large.
- The lay members will be people who: exhibit spiritual maturity and Christ-like character, have been actively involved in the life of the church for a minimum of two years, and have participated in a pastor-approved spiritual development process.
- The Lead Pastor will be selected by the Congregation upon recommendation of a church authorized Search Team. The Search Team will be comprised of lay representatives from the Executive Committee and lay members recommended by the Executive Committee from the Congregation at large.
