The Church’s Policies specify a process for the selection of a Lead Pastor.

Section II:  FBCATV is led by a Pastoral Staff

Establishment:

• The Pastoral Staff (Overseers/Elders/Shepherds) *serves under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
  • Pastors must reflect the spiritual character of an Overseer/Elder/Shepherd. (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9; 1 Peter 5:1-4)                                                                                                  

• The Lead Pastor 
  • The Lead Pastor will be selected by the Congregation upon recommendation of a church authorized Search Team.  The Search Team will be comprised of lay representatives from the Executive Committee and lay members recommended by the Executive Committee from the Congregation at large. 
    • The lay members will be people who:  exhibit spiritual maturity and Christ-like character, have been actively involved in the life of the church for a minimum of two years, and have participated in a pastor-approved spiritual development process.
