The Truth Project is a 13-week, DVD-based study which is a starting point for looking at the world and answering these probing questions from a biblical perspective. There is no cost for study materials. The class is facilitated by Bonita Henriksen.

Colossians:
Jesus Changes Everything
Mondays, 6:30pm
In Fellowship Hall

Colossians: Jesus Changes Everything is a verse-by-verse examination of Paul's letter to the Church at Colossae. This ancient city was in the Roman territory of Asia Minor and was beset by a heresy introduced to the church that Jesus was not truly God, just an uncommon man. Paul warns the believers in the church not to be fooled by secular philosophies, deceptions, or by traditions established by people. The apostle explains the sufficiency of Jesus in all things, a lesson for each of us today. By embracing this truth, we are set free and are firmly anchored through life's storms. The study is facilitated by Richard Hendrix. There is no cost and registration is not necessary.

Finding Jesus In The Old Testament
Mondays, 6:00pm
In Fellowship Hall

Jesus, on the day of His resurrection, met two people making a journey to a nearby village called Emmaus. As the two were discussing the events of the past few days, Jesus drew near and accompanied them.  Not recognizing the Lord, they told Him of the death, burial and resurrection of “a prophet mighty in deed and word before God”.  Since they were puzzled about all that had taken place, Jesus revealed to them a great truth: “Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:27 NASB)

All Scripture is about Jesus.  God’s redemptive plan for lost humanity was conceived before the earth was formed.  Reading the Old Testament with this truth in mind changes our view of Scripture as it did the travelers headed to Emmaus.  “They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while he was explaining the Scriptures to us”? (Luke 24:32 NASB)

This study is for that very purpose:  that God will open our eyes to the meaning of Scripture.

The study is facilitated by Richard Hendrix. There are no costs or additional study materials necessary for the class. Just bring your Bible.

Care Groups

Care Groups

Our church family is growing! As we grow in numbers, growing spiritually and building relationships with others becomes more difficult. Small “Care Groups” provide the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with others, study God’s Word and share ideas in a comfortable home environment.

Care Groups meet in host homes weekly or every other week.

· Groups consist of 8-16 members who study the Bible, build friendships, fellowship and reach out to the community.

· Groups are located in various Villages and communities surrounding The Villages. You may want to choose a group that is near your home.

· If you are interested in hosting or facilitating your own group, call Harry Cordell at 352.259.1236.
